A structured youth strength & conditioning program for ages 7–12 at Academy of Lions. Led by a certified, trauma-informed coach, sessions build strength, coordination, confidence, and resilience in a safe, supportive environment—helping kids develop lifelong movement skills and a positive relationship with fitness.
A safe, structured, and confidence-building program designed to help kids move better, grow stronger, and develop lifelong habits — physically, socially, and mentally.
Kids today often fall into one of two extremes: unstructured activity with little guidance, or highly specialized sport with growing physical and mental pressure. What’s missing is a strong foundation—movement skills, body awareness, and confidence that supports both performance and well-being.
At Academy of Lions, our Youth Strength & Conditioning Program helps kids build that foundation in a safe, supportive, and structured environment—meeting them where they are and helping them grow from there.
We train the whole child: physical skills, social connection, and psychological resilience.
Build coordination, strength, and movement fundamentals with safe, age-appropriate progressions.
Games, group challenges/training foster teamwork, communication, inclusion, and support.
Breathing and reflection practices help kids manage stress, emotions, and confidence.
The program is led by Coach Saja (BKin, CSCS), a trauma-informed, strength & conditioning specialist with over a decade of coaching experience. Saja has worked with youth, varsity athletes, general population, and Olympic-pathway athletes—bringing deep expertise and genuine care to every session.
Her approach prioritizes safety, engagement, and progression, creating an environment where kids feel supported, capable, and confident.
Built for ages 7–12, with coaching that's adaptable, inclusive, and scaled to your child's experience.
No experience needed. Every session is coached and scaled — kids are challenged appropriately, supported consistently, and taught how to move well. New members can jump in at any point in the training cycle.
Each session blends structure with flexibility—helping kids explore movement, build skill, and learn how to regulate effort and energy.
We start by checking in and creating connection. Icebreakers and dynamic mobility help kids feel comfortable, focused, and ready to move.
Through throws, crawls, and obstacle challenges, kids explore rhythm, agility, and body awareness—encouraging creativity and adaptable movement.
Squats, hinges, pushes, pulls, and carries using bodyweight or light resistance. The focus is learning, quality movement, and self-correction—not maximal loading.
Skills are applied through circuits or team-based challenges that build fitness, communication, and resilience—while keeping the experience engaging and fun.
We finish with breathing, body scans, or quiet reflection—teaching kids how to transition from effort to calm and build emotional regulation skills.
Register for the full 6-week cycle beginning Sunday, September 20 for structured progression, or drop in for a single session. Spots are limited to maintain coaching quality and attention.

Quick answers to common parent questions about youth strength & conditioning at Academy of Lions.
Yes—when it’s coached and age-appropriate. We focus on movement quality, coordination, and foundational strength patterns using bodyweight or light resistance. Kids are taught how to move well first, and everything is scaled to their individual ability.
No experience needed. Sessions are structured, supportive, and adaptable—whether your child is brand new to training or already plays sport.
This program complements sport. We build strength, mobility, coordination, and resilience that supports performance and reduces the risk of overuse patterns. Many athletes benefit from having a well-rounded movement foundation outside their sport.
Official start date is Sept 20th pending the number of athletes we get - minimum 6 athletes.
Comfortable athletic clothes, indoor shoes and/or lifting shoes, and a water bottle. If your child has any relevant injuries, sensitivities, or needs, email us ahead of time so we can support them properly.
The environment is supportive, inclusive, and coached. Sessions are playful yet structured, challenging yet approachable. We prioritize confidence and connection—no kid is singled out, and everyone is encouraged to progress at their own pace.
