Coach Ma returns with another certification course for 2024!

Learn Chinese Weightlifting techniques using China’s style learning progressions for the Snatch, Clean, and Jerk.

Coach Ma will be splitting the days to encompass a Level 1 (Aug 17) and a Level 2 (Aug 18) of his certification courses. Registration includes both days and both levels.

All experience levels are welcome! This is an opportunity to learn new skill sets or understand the Chinese methodology of Olympic lifting for those who have some experience!

 

Gain New Weightlifting Techniques & Knowledge

  • Learn Chinese weightlifting technique using China’s style learning progression for the snatch, clean, and jerk.

  • Have your lifting evaluated individually and within a group setting to learn from others.

  • Practice this style of lifting with weights attendees feel comfortable with while receiving verbal cues from coach Ma.

  • Learn the philosophy and biomechanics of Chinese weightlifting technique.

  • Practice accessory movements frequently used for bodybuilding and strength training.

  • Learn how to design and coach training programs for all skill levels of athletes.

  • Training methods for mobilities and weaknesses & solutions, etc.

 

2 Certification Levels

Saturday, August 17
Level 1 Breakdown

  • Understand Chinese weightlifting philosophy and the scientific principles that make the techniques so effective.

  • Learn a 7-part snatch progression to build up to a full snatch from the floor – even if you’re a complete beginner.

  • Drill 6 progressive movements to perform a full clean from the floor.

  • Practice 7 progressive movement that will allow you to perform a professional level squat jerk and split jerk, etc. 

Sunday, August 18
Level 2 Breakdown

  • Improve your understanding of weightlifting movement mechanics.

  • Improve your analysis of weightlifting compensation.

  • Learn to make better decisions about assistance movements to achieve proper weightlifting positions

  • Learn programming best practises.

  • Learn how to design and coach training programs for all skill levels of athletes.

  • Learn to practice for mobility improvements.

  • Learn to use China’s style bodybuilding for weaknesses training, etc.

*It is recommended that athletes looking to only take the Level 2 have either already taken Level 1 and/or experienced in Olympic Lifting
