LIFT UP - A PROGRAM FOR ADDICTION & MENTAL HEALTH

The Lift Up is an Academy Of Lions Program catering to recovering individuals looking to improve their lives through CrossFit and community. Lift Up is a safe, supportive & physically active environment for those who are recovering from addiction, alcoholism & anyone currently dealing with mental health issues.

Sessions are every Wednesday at 1:30pm at the Academy of Lions. FREE for anyone at any stage in their recovery and is being run by Amo and Rachel.

So, here I am weeks removed from the finish line, on this cold night in Toronto, running without a goal and no medal waiting for me at the end. Three and a Half grueling Marathons now behind me, somehow this run felt like the most rewarding of them all. 

I searched myself for some kind of explanation - none were immediately obvious. I wrinkled my eyes and thought deeper. Maybe this was not about pain anymore?
